The beautifully designed and crafted Baluchi carpets were originally made by nomadic tribes living near the borders between Iran, Pakistan & Afghanistan. These small-spirited patterns make them stand out in a crowd while their praying habits are also quite common among these types of rugs/carpet weaves found throughout this area at one point or another during history--the colors red and brown dominate but there's always some blue thrown into each design for good measure. The ‘camel print’ or 'gul' repeat medallions are common and provide an elegant counterpoint to their intricate designs which can be found on various other backgrounds such as dark red, brown and blues.
