Afghan Rugs | Traditional and Unique

Afghani rugs are often made using the asymmetrical (double) knot and are usually woven by Afghans of Turkoman ethnic origin. The weave results in a very tight knotting and dense, shorter pile than the Pakistani Bokhara. The Afghans generally have wool bases, although they are available in cotton and silk bases also. Afghan Bokharas are known for their high quality, clarity attractiveness of design, and extreme durability.
